Top Music and Performing Arts Camps on the Peninsula


Whether your child is looking to build confidence or needs an activity to unleash some, we recommend signing up for a performing arts camp. It really doesn’t matter if your little ones can sing, dance, or act because we are here to help. Who knows - maybe they are a star in the making!



San Carlos Children's Theater

Since its inception in 1990, San Carlos Children’s Theater has become a leader and family favorite in youth theater, training more than 8,000 aspiring young actors, and entertaining over 20,000 Bay Area families. This year's lineup of unique summer camps include Willy Wonka Kids (a mini musical), StageCraft (hands-on technical theater experience), Musical Theater Camp, and Camp Team Friend (introducing Molly, the therapy dog!).



Stratford School

Does your child have unlimited energy and creativity? Does he or she sing along to favorite songs and movies?

If so, check out Stratford School's Musical Theater, Digital Music, and orchestra programs at select campuses.




Crystal Children's Choir

Crystal Children’s Choir was founded in 1994. Since then, it has grown into an organization of over one thousand members. The choir is active year round in Cupertino, Fremont, Foster City, and San Jose. A variety day camps and an overnight camp are offered for young choristers of all ages and experience levels.



Small Fry Dance Club/Principal Creative & Performing Arts

Small Fry Dance Club and PCPA are two halves of the same school. Each focused on developing dancers in specific age groups (over and under 5 years old respectively). Small Fry camps focus on developing motor skills, creativity, and confidence, while PCPA offers diverse programs for all levels in ballet, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, Irish dance, and more.



Dance Expressions

Located in Menlo Park, Dance Expressions offers quality dance classes for students ages 3 to young adult, with all levels of ability. This year's summer camps include Tiny Tots (ages 3-4), Ice Princess Dance camp and Beach Party (both ages 4-7), and JUST DANCE Summer Jazz (ages 8 to teen).



School of Rock San Mateo

Rock Onstage this Summer! Weekly Rock Camps accommodate musicians of all skill levels, 9-19 years old, on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals. Students will develop their musicianship and learn new skills in a creative and fun environment. Daily private lessons and band rehearsals. Each camp is based on a rock band. 

Camps conclude with a Show Concert at 4pm on Friday for family and friends.




El Camino Youth Symphony

ECYS invites members and non-members to participate in the acclaimed ECYS Summer Music Workshop Program! Located in Palo Alto, the workshops run July 11-22. From Workshop I, the ideal "first orchestra" experience, to Workshops II & III for advanced intermediate students, this is a great way to stay tuned-up over the summer! An audition is required for workshop placement.




Peng Piano Academy

Peng Piano Academy is a summer camp for piano students, intermediate to advanced levels. 2016 dates are July 5-9 in Palo Alto, CA. Founded in 2013, the Academy festival is designed for young piano students to engage in a variety of musical programs of workshops, lessons, master classes, and ensembles, instructed by the faculty of collegiate musicians.
