Top Arts & Crafts Camps in Sacramento

Step aside Picasso. Move over Martha Stewart. We’ve got a new generation of awesome arts and crafts experts. Let your kids & their creativity run wild at the top arts and crafts camps in your local community. Whether your kids like painting, drawing, ceramics, or film ChatterBlock is your one stop resource for the most creative camps in town.

Dream Enrichment Classes & Camps

Dream Enrichment's Summer Camps include Early Engineers, Honeycode Camp, and FireFly Art.  At Firefly Art Camp, students will use a step-by-step guided drawing process to meet playful monkeys, giraffes, elephants, and other wild friends. Special messy mixed-media projects include shaving cream-paint zebras, swinging chimpanzees, and clay polar bears! Camps are open to kids from K-6.

Crocker Art Museum

A variety of themed art classes are offered at the Crocker Art museum all summer. Among others, these include the Art Lab (ages 6-9), Gizmos to Bots (ages 9-12), Treasures Jewels, and Adventure (ages 6-9), Pop Art (ages 10-17), Anime, Manga, and Art Toys (ages 9-12).

Adult classes are offered as well.

Art Beast Children's Studio

Art Beast camps are for children 4 to 7 years old. ABS honors children by offering arts and environments suited to their age range. Each session fills at 16 children and is led by two teachers, promising a group that can grow close. The camps offer a blend of structured arts exploration and free play in our arts studio. Camp themes include Wizards, Science Arts, Dinosaurs and Dragons.

The Creation District

Creation District camps are for children 8 to 13.

Camp should be filled with play, engaging challenge, unapologetic silliness, and a profound opportunity for self-expression. That’s why creation is at the cornerstone of each camp--be it creating a cardboard village, guerrilla art installation, random acts of joy and kindness, or a new invention.

ACAI Studios & Gallery

Week-long morning clay camps are offered in June, July, and early August.

Camp sizes are limited to 10 students per session for more individual attention from the experienced ceramic artists who lead the classes. Open to kids ages 5 and up.

Sacramento Children's Museum

The Sacramento Children's Museum is hosting three camps this year in partnership with the Cordova Recreation & Park District.

These include Art Studio Camp, Story Factory Camp, and Cooking Around the World Camp. All are week-long, half-day morning camps, open to kids ages 5-11.

If you didn’t discover an awesome art class from the list above, ChatterBlock has hundreds of other cool camps and classes that your kids will absolutely adore. Check out our “Camps and Classes” page for more details.
