Summer is rolling in fast! Soon school will be over and your kids will be biting at the bit to get out there and get active. Why not keep them happy and healthy at one of our “Top Summer Sports Camps”? Below we’ve listed only the coolest camps that we guarantee any sports enthusiast will love.

Tom Duffey Hockey School

Tom Duffey offers Power Skating and Hockey Schools in the spring and summer in the HRM area for players ages 5-17. Now in its 21st year, they have set a Canadian and International hockey school standard for comprehensive skill development.

Schools are offered in Halifax/Dartmouth, Bedford, Liverypool, Syndey, NS, and Quispamsis, NB.

Dalhousie Athletics

With over 40 options to choose from for ages 5-17, Dalhousie Athletics' summer camps provide children and youth in the Halifax Regional Municipality with the opportunity to meet new friends, develop new skills, keep active and have a fun and rewarding experience this summer.


Sportball is North America's leading provider of non-competitive sports instruction for children ages 16 months to 12 years. Half-day and full-day camps, outdoor soccer, and outdoor multi-sport help kids refine, rehearse and repeat, with plenty of skill-focused play, creative exploration and fun. Camps are available in Halifax, Dartmouth, Hammonds Plains, and Bedford.

YMCA - Big Cove Camp

There's something for all ages at and at Big Cove overnight camps, from Little Big Cove (3-night camps for ages 6-12), Junior (ages 7-11), Senior (ages 12-15), and Leadership (ages 15-17) camps. Junior and Senior camps are available in 6 or 13 night sessions.

Camp activities vary, include archery, kayaking, canoeing, zip-lining, arts & crafts, just to name a few.

Bayside Camp

Established in 1953, Bayside Camp has a long and rich history of providing life changing environments through residential camping.

Campers will explore nature, and make new friendships through activities such as canoeing, archery, the climbing tower, outdoor cooking, orienteering, sports, and more.
