Summer is rolling in fast! Soon school will be over and your kids will be biting at the bit to get out there and get active. Why not keep them happy and healthy at one of our “Top Summer Sports Camps”? Below we’ve listed only the coolest camps in Edmonton that we guarantee any sports enthusiast will love.

Fitset Ninja

Release your kid's inner ninja with Fitset Ninja's summer day camps.  These camps are perfect for kids between 6 to 14 years old and incorporate ninja obstacle training, parkour, self defense, and team building exercises in a jam packed 5 day experience.  On the final day, race your camp-mates in a friendly ninja competition.

Fitset Ninja's coaches are experts in OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) and will ensure your kids will have the time of their lives in a safe and controlled environment.

YMCA of Northern Alberta

Edmonton YMCA Summer Camps and Day Camps offer children and youth (ages 3-16) the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging activities.

A wide variety of camps are available, with individual or multi-sports camps, swimming, and counselor-in-training camps just to name a few.

Vertically Inclined

This summer, Vertically Inclined is offering full day, week-long Jr. Treefrogger Camps (ages 5-9) and Treefrogger Camps (ages 10+). No experience necessary and it's a great way to introduce you kids to the world of climbing, not to mention they will get an awesome workout each day! 

Vertically Inclined also offers climbing programs for kids (and adults) year round, allowing your kids to enjoy this sport well after the summer is over.

NAIT Summer Camps

A favorite of many Edmonton families, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) offers a wide variety of summer camp programs for kids, including general fitness, multi-sport camps, and specialized sport camps (such as the Ooks Hockey Camp). 

They are appropriate for ages 5+, have the option to purchase catered lunches, and run for 4 or 5 days each week.


Pedalheads® has been offering bike camps since 1995 and is the prefect place for your kid to enhance their riding ability. From training wheels to trails, Pedalheads® has safe, fun and challenging bike camps for children ages 2-12.

Not into biking? - no problem!  Pedalheads® also offers multi-sport and swimming camps.  All of their sessions are 4 to 5 days per week, with both half and full day options available in numerous Edmonton locations.

Ortona Gymnastics

Summers at Ortona are packed with fitness, friendships, fun, and adventures.  Who wouldn't want that?!

Perfect for your budding gymnasts, Ortona Gymnastics offers multiple weeks of summer camps each year in addition to their full time programs.  Each camp includes a full range of gymnastics activities each day as well as planned downtime with age appropriate activities.

J'adore Dance

If you're looking for a dance camp, J'adore Dance offers a full range of summer camps throughout the summer for kids aged 3 to 10 years old. 

Their Just Dance camp allows campers to to move and groove in a variety of styles including Hip Hop, Ballet, West African, Tap, Poi and Contemporary - your dancer will try it all!

City Fit Shop

Located just off Whyte Ave and 102nd, City Fit Shop offers some awesome Ninja and OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) summer camps, with both full and half day options.  The staff are professionals at helping your camper develop their physical literacy and skill in obstacle course racing, all while ensuring they are having a blast.


Sportball half and full-day camps help kids 3 and up refine, rehearse, repeat with plenty of skill-focused play, creative exploration and fun. Sportball Ultimate Skills Clinics are perfect for kids 6 and up who can’t get enough sports, offering supplementary 2-3 hour sessions of advanced skills practice, scrimmage and fun in various sports and sport combinations.

MacEwan University Sport and Wellness

MacEwan University's Junior Griffins Summer Sport and Aquatic Camps are designed to engage youth by teaching basic sport and aquatic concepts in a challenging, yet fun and positive environment. Choose from any number of specialty camps from archery, to triathlon, to hockey, and anything in between.

Before and after care is available.

Fliteway Figure Skating Club

The Fliteway Figure Skating Club has been providing north Edmonton residents with skating lessons for over 40 years.  During the summer, parents can enroll their kids in Fliteway's CanSkate camps.

From taking the first steps on the ice, to learning how to do crossovers or competing at a national level, Fliteway has a program to meet your skating needs.

Leduc Boat Club

The Leduc Boat Club works to give community members the opportunity to experience the sports of rowing, canoeing, dragon boating, and kayaking in a beautiful natural environment.

They offer week long summer camps for kids in July and August and have a maximum limit of 12 campers per group, ensuring lots of individual instruction and maximizing safety on the water.  There is also a dedicated rowing summer camp available, and parents are welcome to attend the final day of any camp to join in the fun!

Impact Martial Arts

WTTU Impact Martial Arts provides safe, fun and entertaining classes and camps in Edmonton and Sherwood Park, with instructors who are focused, exciting and motivating. They teach an age specific curriculum in a well structured, disciplined format, keeping in line with the time tested principles of martial arts training.

Summer camps are available for all ages. No experience required.

Nova Synchro Club

Synchronized Swimming is a hybrid of swimming, gymnastics and dance. In 1988, The Nova Synchro Swim Club was formed in response to a large gap between what was recreational and competitive synchronized swimming. Camps are offered for all ages and levels, from those with no previous experience to competitive synchronized swimmers.

Dynamyx Gymnastics Club

Dynamyx offers a variety of full-day and half-day camp which aren't just limited to gymnastics alone! Weekly theme camps include Gymnastics Cheer Week, So You Think You Can Dance, Gymnastics Art Camp, Superhero Training, Glow in the Dark, and Secret Spy School, among others.

Of course a full-day Specialty Gymnastics Camp is also available.

Better Player

Capital City Gymnastics Centre is offering camps all summer long! Full day, Half Day, Parkour, Cheer Tumbling, Rhythmic and More! Full day campers get to partake in an exciting themed field trip each week as well as swimming and/or splash parks. Every camp includes a craft and snack time.

Green and Gold Sports Camps

Enjoy a fun-filled developmental experience in the home of the Golden Bears and Pandas! Camps are offered in many sports, with each camp incorporating the innovative AIM Program.
