For those of you who don’t know, STEM is a popular acronym for “Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.” Opportunities in the STEM fields are on the rise, meaning it has never been a better time to learn how to create and innovate!

Debate Camp

Need an idea for that smart chatty kid?  Debate Camp offers training in Public Speaking, Debating and Model United Nations for students in grades 6 to 11. This multi-leveled program suits all abilities, from the novice to experienced speaker. Kids come away with renewed confidence in how best to express the spoken word. New ideas, lots of fun and skills development for higher learning and life!





Halifax Learning 

Full-day summer camp at Halifax Learning is about two things: reading skills and experiential learning. The gold-standard SpellRead literacy program combined with a diverse range of physical activities, field trips and special guests makes this camp unique.

Before and after care is available for an additional cost.





SuperNOVA at Dalhousie University

SuperNOVA's exciting week-long day camps introduce participants to STEM concepts, careers, and mentors through fun experiments and exciting hands-on activities. Camp projects and activities are developed and delivered by undergraduate university students and are designed to match participants' grade level, interests, and abilities. Camps take place at the Sexton and Studley campuses, as well as several other locations throughout the region.




Bricks 4 Kidz

At Bricks 4 Kidz camps, kids will explore the world of engineering, architecture and machines in a fun, comfortable environment. . Activities include motorized model building, creative free play building, LEGO-based games and challenges, snack breaks, and small daily take home items. Camps are specifically designed for children ages 5–13.




Mad Science of the Maritimes

Mad Science camps offer a daily combination of in-class discovery and exploration, outdoor games and physical activities, and hands-on applications of the scientific principles presented. Camp themes include Crazy Chemists, Secret Agent Lab, and Flight Academy. Campers create, build and assemble a variety of take-home projects.

All camps are for children ages 5-12.




NSCAD University School of Extended Studies

NSCAD Extended Studies offers weeklong themed art camps for ages 5-18. Get a start on your summer art making with NSCAD Summer Camps: stitch a story, make art in motion, create creepy crawlies, learn black and white film photography, make art outside, build a town out of boxes, experiment with animation, ceramics and much more!




Bulidit Activity Camp

At Buildit Activity Camp you'll build Lego eV3 robots and program them to do amazing things. Build kits and MOC's and make stop motion animation movies. Then it's off to the zip line, ropes course, aqua park or another of the exciting activities. To round out a packed day, there's night games and campfires before bed.




Veith House

Veith House offers a summer camps for children ages 5-11. These science and outdoor-based camps will have families wanting to come back again.

Camps run Monday to Thursday from 9-3 and provides a wide variety of fun activities.
