Summertime is approaching, and it's time to decide where to send the kids to camp. Here are our favorite outdoor/adventure choices around Vancouver:

Now that spring has finally sprung and the weather is heating up it is time to start thinking about summer. We absolutely love the idea of sending your kids to an outdoor summer camp. Why not let them soak up some sweet Vitamin D and have a blast with their best friends! In order to help, we’ve filtered through all the local outdoor kids camps and compiled a list of only the best and brightest.



Pedalheads®

Pedalheads® has been offering bike camps since 1995. From training wheels to trails, Pedalheads® has safe, fun and challenging bike camps for children ages 2-12. Over 150,000 children have learned to ride with the unique Pedalheads® teaching method in small classes by exceptional instructors.

Half and Full day camps are available all summer.



Stillwood Camp

This get-away camp facility is located in the Columbia Valley, in the lower mainland of BC.

Stillwood Camp & Conference Centre offers adrenaline-filled outdoor wilderness camp activities, in their day camps, overnight camps, and family camps.



Timberline Ranch

Timberline Ranch hosts so many diverse activities in 73 acres of woods and farmland, that no one should ever walk away without having their kind of fun! Activities include a multi-level ropes course, BMX track, archery, swimming, a petting zoo, hayrides, horsemanship, climbing wall rifle range, and more!




Grouse Mountain

With distinct themes, each Adventure Day Camp is united in common goals of inspiring youth to get outdoors, experience ‘only here’ activities, make friends, play, connect with nature and discover our beautiful British Columbia. Age-appropriate camps are offered for ages 5-7, 8-12, and 12-16, and include themes such as photography, survival, adventure, and counselor-in-training.



Diving Locker

Kids Scuba Camp is designed to introduce scuba diving to young people, in a safe and fun atmosphere. During each 1-week camp, students will partake in 5 classroom sessions, and 5 pool diving sessions. Campers will find themselves navigating through hoola hoops, playing underwater frisbee, watching diving movies, and even exploring the scenes at The Vancouver Aquarium. Open to ages 10-16.



Burnaby Village Museum

Summer Heritage Adventure Camps at BVM allow children to experience different historical adventures. Themes include Back to Nature Week, Outdoor Escapes, and more.

This year, a new After Camp Club is available this year to accommodate parents who need a bit more time to pick up their kids.




BC Easter Seals Camps

BC Easter Seals Camps is an overnight summer camping program for children, teens and young adults with disabilities. They provide safe, fun activities in an environment where the focus is on abilities, not disabilities. All camp activities are designed to build confidence, independence and peer interaction in a recreational environment.




VanDusen Botanical Garden Association

VanDusen’s camps are immensely popular and often sell out very quickly. Their carefully crafted blend of science, exploration, games and crafts give children the opportunity to learn and play throughout the beauty of the Garden and the Conservatory, while fostering positive stewardship of the environment. Days are spent mostly outdoors, but may also include time in the Visitor Centre classroom.



BC SPCA Among Animals Summer Camps

Play animal-themed games, meet animal experts and get crafty. Learn about everything from farm animals and pets to wildlife, ecosystems and nature. Connect with new friends (both furry and human) and become the expert on animals in your family!




Evans Lake Forest Education Society

Evans Lake in located in Squamish, BC, an hour from Vancouver. They are an Outdoor & Forest Education Centre and summer camp for kids.

Camp activities include canoeing, a low ropes course, paddle-boarding, archery, rock-climbing, hiking. and more.




White Rock Recreation and Culture

You won't believe all the different summer camps that your child can take with White Rock Recreation and Culture. Camps are offered in skimboarding, soccer, tennis, art, fencing, YMCA outdoor adventure, and our signature Land'N'Sea day camps.
