Summer is rolling in fast! Soon school will be over and your kids will be biting at the bit to get out there and get active. Why not keep them happy and healthy at one of our “Top Summer Sports Camps”? Below we’ve listed only the coolest camps that we guarantee any sports enthusiast will love.
Okanagan Hockey Camps
Okanagan Hockey Group became an icon in the hockey camp industry and has grown today to be the longest operating hockey camp in the world. The camps, located in Calgary, Edmonton, Penticton, and Kelowna hosts players from all over. Hundreds of former and existing NHL players attend OHC over the years as players or as on ice instructors.
Stryker Sports volleyball and basketball programs include STARS Volleyball and SUNS Basketball camps for boys and girls ages 6-13, where beginners to experienced players can have fun while developing their fundamental skills. They also offer RISING STARS Volleyball and SUNS HIGHER HOOPS camps for more advanced players looking to hone their skills and striving to play on school and club teams.
Big Rock Aikikai
BigRock Aikikai martial arts summer day camps are open to new and existing aikido students alike. Children will learn about martial arts history along with the goal of martial arts training and the ethics surrounding self-defense techniques. Daily lessons include martial arts classes, games and many other fascinating activities.
Camps are offered for kids ages 5-12.
Summit Summer is a sister program to the award winning Summit Kids program. This innovative arts & recreation program takes up residence at West Hillhurst Community Association. Several themed programs are offered for age groups 4-7, 8-10, and 11-15. Sports will vary depending on the camp theme chosen.
Pedalheads® has been offering bike camps since 1995. From training wheels to trails, Pedalheads® has safe, fun and challenging bike camps for children ages 2-12. Over 150,000 children have learned to ride with the unique Pedalheads® teaching method in small classes by exceptional instructors.
Half and Full day camps are available all summer.
Sports, or otherwise, there is no shortage of camps offered at Vivo this summer! This year's sports camps include Traditional Sports, Swim, Girls-Only Sports, Active for Life, and Non-Traditional sports (ultimate frisbee, handball, cricket, etc.). All camps run 9am-4pm, with Before/After Care available.
McKenzie Towne Council
Celebrating 10 years of camps, McKenzie Towne Council offers several themed day camps in addition to their sports programs. This year's sports camps include martial arts, soccer, sportball, yoga, and more.
Programs run all summer, July 4th through September 1st.
The Calgary Aquabelles Synchronized Swimming Club and the Talisman Centre have partnered to offer this summer’s most fun and exciting synchronized swimming camps. This unique sport combines aspects of swimming, music, dance, and gymnastics. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 12 who would like to try synchronized swimming for the first time.
The Genesis centre offers a variety of summer sports camps. Among the many activities offered this summer are the Alien Inline Camps (in-line skating for ages 6-8 and 9-12), and Hawks Field Hockey workshops and camp (through partnership with the Hawks Field Hockey Academy).
Alberta Pioneer Camp
Alberta Pioneer Camp is a Christian camp, and part of a network of nine Inter-Varsity Camps across Canada. At camp, kids gain self-esteem and independence, try new things and learn new skills, learn teamwork and leadership skills, spend time in nature being active, grow in character and spirit and find a sense of purpose. Outdoor sports at Pioneer Camps vary depending on the session, but may include hiking, canoeing, or horseback riding, among others.
Lone Prairie Camp
Lone Prairie Camp is a safe and fun environment where people encounter, respond to and are encouraged in their walk with God.
The Summer Camp program includes onsite camps for grades 1-12 (divided by age groups), hiking & backpacking trips,and even a family camp weekend.
Your kids will have a blast at these Summer Sport Camps. Registration is now open for this summer, and camps are filling up fast! All campers will enjoy swimming as part of the daily activities, and receive a cool camp souvenir to take home.
Complimentary pre-care from 7:30am – 8:30am & post-care from 4:30pm – 5:30pm is available for your convenience.
SoccerGenius Development Centre
SoccerGenius offers a fun, skill focused, and non-violent experience for all campers. They teach awesome skills that are applicable to real games. Camps are run by International Master Coach, Charles Richard Cotton. No rain outs or cancellations due to weather.
Sportball offers fun, high-energy sports programs and parties that support the social and physical development of kids ages 16 months to 12 years. Sportball was one of the first programs of its kind to focus on building developmentally appropriate skills through non-competitive sports, games and activities – and the company keeps evolving to make sure that it delivers the best in sports programming.
Fastlane Swimming International
Fastlane International is Canada’s BEST technical swim and cross training camp program, taking pride in providing professional "in water" and "on land" performance training in a safe, fun, and exciting environment.
