For those of you who don’t know, STEM is a popular acronym for “Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.” Opportunities in the STEM fields are on the rise, meaning it has never been a better time to learn how to create and innovate!

Bay Area Mad Science

Mad Science camps are the perfect blend of entertainment and education, combining hands-on lab time, outdoor games and exploration, as well as the application of scientific principles.

Camps are available in full or half-day formats, for kids ages 5-12. Various camp themes are offered to accommodate different age levels and interests.



Galileo Innovation Camps

Galileo summer camp are crazy fun and profoundly enriching at the same time! That's why innovation is at the core of all their activities. Choose from over 12 immersive majors for campers entering 5th - 8th grades and 4 whimsical themes for campers Pre K - 5th grades.

The 2016 Annual East Bay Kidz Math Camp is a fun, 3-week investigation into mathematics, ESPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR STUDENT WHO ARE STRUGGLING! This summer camp for 4th-8th graders focuses on key math building blocks, developing math confidence, along with engaging game-based and hands-on activities.




Abantey Roleplay Workshop

The summer Roleplay day camp program features consecutive one week sessions where students ages 12 and up, will work with their group to accomplish their goals.

The sessions are full-day 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. The students spend their lunch break outside playing frisbee. Extended care is available.




Communication Academy

Galaxy Robotics

Galaxy Robotics offers robotics and programming classes in Oakland, Berkeley and Piedmont. Students build Vex robots in small groups with one instructor per group. On Friday, students compete against other groups in a friendly competition. In the advanced class, students get more freedom and advanced parts. In programming, students work individually on programming languages.




Aurora School Summer Camps

Aurora’s Creators & Explorers Weeks are a full or half day of fun! Each day all campers rotate through and participate in a variety of activities including: coding, woodshop, cooking, gardening, arts & crafts and sports & games.

Academic camps include Readers and Writers in the Garden, as well as specialized Academic Success Camps. 



Alameda Community Sailing Center

On-line reservations at the Alameda Community Sailing Center (ACSC) are open for 2 week summer sailing camps serving ages 7-18. The center’s youth program uses sailing as a way to teach kids life enhancement skills such as goal setting, communication and teamwork, self-reliance, and leadership. This year, in August, they are introducing a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math sailing camp.
