Now that spring has finally sprung and the weather is heating up it is time to start thinking about summer. We absolutely love the idea of sending your kids to an outdoor summer camp. Why not let them soak up some sweet Vitamin D and have a blast with their best friends! In order to help, we’ve filtered through all the local outdoor kids camps and compiled a list of only the best and brightest.
Pedalheads® has been offering bike camps since 1995. From training wheels to trails, Pedalheads® has safe, fun and challenging bike camps for children ages 2-12. Over 150,000 children have learned to ride with the unique Pedalheads® teaching method in small classes by exceptional instructors.
Half and Full day camps are available all summer.
Summit Summer is a sister program to the award winning Summit Kids program. They host a multitude of camp themes for ages 4 through 14. Outdoor/adventure themes include Summit Safari (ages 4-7), Wild West and Eco Explorers (ages 8-10), and Swim Gym and Hike and Bike (ages 11-14). Leadership in Training camps for ages 12-15 are also available.
Alberta Pioneer Camp is a Christian camp, and part of a network of nine Inter-Varsity Camps across Canada. At camp, kids gain self-esteem and independence, try new things and learn new skills, learn teamwork and leadership skills, spend time in nature being active, grow in character and spirit and find a sense of purpose. Camps are held at Pioneer Lodge, Sundre and Pioneer Ranch, Rocky Mountain House.

For 63 years, Camp Chestermere has been a place to belong for campers ages 5-18. With Overnight and Day Camps, Camp Chestermere has welcomed guests from all backgrounds to experience life-changing summers. Located on the South end of Chestermere Lake, they have Water Jet Packs, Zorb Water Balls, Power tubing, Archery, Wall Climbing, Sea Spies, Canoeing, Kayaking and more!
All of Cobb's exciting week-long day camps are active and engaging. Children have an opportunity to enjoy ALL Cobb’s attractions, specialized camp games (eg. hide and seek in the corn maze!), themed crafts, and exciting science experiments!

Weekly camps run throughout July and August for ages 7 to 17. Located ½ hour south of Calgary’s southern limits, DJ Ranch camps provide a fun and educational way to establish that bond between horse and rider. Camps cover catching, leading, grooming, riding and everything in between. Smaller camp numbers allows for more one-on-one coaching.
Located in Red Deer, Camp Alexo offers opportunities for children and youth to grow and discover their potential.
