This is probably a really frustrating experience you need to deal with from time to time, as kids are often not too keen on cleaning and organizing if possible. Well sometimes you will need some extra help so you can work out the details. You can also make use of this at several times each year before you can move on with this and make use of the chance to make organizing far easier than it was before. Regardless of the kids you will need some help in making it work after or before moving house or a simple relocation:

Making use of the right height furniture

This is important as a detail you need to remember, as it happens to be something you may forget. Kids will be at a certain height so you will need to do address that and you should help design the rooms in such a way as to make them more accessible to your children. Kneel down to the level they are at and see how you can improve the organizing part of the room. If you do this you will have a much easier time overall after moving or when working.

Talk to your kids

This is one great way to ensure you understand their needs. Since each kid will have their own specific ideas and preferences, so you could find a way to work on this together. There is much you can do to keep your room free of clutter at all times. Since your kids will have different interests, chances are you will need to cater to the interest of more than one person in the same room.

Sorting and storage

Your kid rooms may often be small, but you will need to take care of the storage it has. You will need to itemize everything into smaller bins, letting you avoid the issues you may be facing with organizing. This will help you make your organizing efforts far easier than before.

Make use of containers

This is something that can be used to make your smaller items and toys fit in, keeping them off the floor all around. You can use some containers such as plastic bins or you can even make your own boxes that have been customized to your needs. You can lay down some ground rules for the kids so they will not simply lose items around their room, leaving a mess behind. You would do well to consider also making such a setup to allow you to make it easier.

Labeling

Whenever you have just finished moving house, or you plan to have a relocation done, you would do well to keep everything labeled to keep things easier to handle. Print them out in sharp colors and some lovely labels to keep your items under control before and after the moving process is complete. You should also make an inventory list of the toys and items your kids have.

I'm so glad I stumbled across this article. We are just about to move house ourselves and with two kids, it is CHAOS right now! I really needed some inspiration to help me with organisation. Labelling and inventory list is a good idea, our toys have all ended up mixed in together and I have no idea which room to put them in... eeek! Thanks for the helpful tips :)
