The weather is getting rather frosty but not all is lost, it’s a wonderful time of year to celebrate and enjoy all sorts of community traditions and festivities with your family!
When: November 3 - January 8Where: Western Development Museum
Since 1987, the Eaton’s Once Upon a Christmas exhibit has delighted visitors, young and old. The exhibit continues to be a major attraction for those who visit the WDM during the holiday season. It offers an opportunity for parents to share with their children memories of their childhood and it allows children to enter to a world of make-believe and magic.
When: November 21 - January 9Where: Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo
Welcome to Saskatoon's top winter attraction and Christmas tradition...the BHP Billiton Enchanted Forest.It's the most spectacular drive-through Christmas display in Canada featuring 75 custom displays throughout the forest. A Saskatchewan Christmas tradition for 14 years.
When: November 22-28Where: Western Development Museum
The first Festival was in 1986 and was a one-day event. Today, in its 30th year, the Festival of Trees is a nine day event. Average attendance is now 28,000+. The 2015 theme is Christmas On The Silver Screen, to celebrate your favourite holiday movies.
Mother/Son Gala at Festival of Trees
When: November 25Where: Western Development Museum
2nd Annual Mother/Son gala is themed after Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Fine dining, activities and entertainment are planned to make this an engaging evening for both moms and sons (recommended over 8 years old). A souvenir photograph will be provided to capture the magic of the evening, which includes a private viewing of the Festival of Trees.

The Saskatoon Children's Choir's Annual Christmas Concert tickets are available at McNally Robinson Booksellers, and at the door. Seating is reserved.

The 3rd Annual Santa's Market includes a concession, door prizes and a bake sale! New for this year, Wet Paint Pottery teams up with Santa's Market so the kids can paint while you shop! This event is a fundraiser sponsored by the Father Vachon Catholic School Community Council.
When: December 1-15Where: Meewasin Valley Centre
The annual Christmas Sale is a must-visit event! Make your selections in Meewasin’s Gift Shop and then draw for your discount at the till. You will receive 10% - 50% off your purchase!
When: December 4-6Where: SaskTel Centre
Saskatchewan’s Premier Festival of Handcrafts for 40 Years features a juried market with over 200 vendors, non-stop entertinment, ethnic food for any taste, and much, much more. Sundog is fun for the whole family.
When: December 5Where: TCU Place (Saskatoon's Arts & Convention Centre)
The great jazz musician Duke Ellington took Tchaikovsky’s beloved classic The Nutcracker Suite and flipped it on its head creating Ellington’s own Nutcracker Suite. The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra will perform alongside the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra for the first time in this evening that pairs Tchaikovsky’s music with Ellington’s – full of Christmas fun, the evening is going to be one of the most memorable nights of the year.

Our nefarious villain Monty has tried to make a huge profit from the Christmas season every year and has failed every time. This year he comes up with a new idea. A wonderful idea. A wonderful, awful idea. The PERFECT GIFT that everyone is sure to want. Many favorite characters such as Jack, Widow Spriggins, Fred and Ed are sure to show up to the party.

After the triumphant performance in 2014, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra returns with the Saskatoon Symphony Chorus and a return of all four guest soloists.

Join hundreds of voices in the jubilant sounds of Handel’s Messiah. Sit on the main floor (in your voice sections: soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and join in the action on some of the most incredible music ever written. Or sit in the balconies and enjoy a performance like no other in Saskatoon.
When: December 12Where: Wilson's Greenhouse & Garden Centre
For just $12, you will receive a professional photo taken of your pet with Santa Claus! Humans are welcome in the photo too. Over 65% of the proceeds will go towards supporting the work of New Hop Dog Rescue. This event will also feature an adoption day and the 2016 New Hope Calendars.
