Does your child need a bit of extra help with their homework? Or are you looking for more of an academic challenge for them? If so, these are some great service providers that can help:

Top Academic Enrichment Programs in Nashville

Kumon

Kumon learning centers for children specializes in nationwide after school math and reading programs for preschool students through 12th grade. You’ll find that Kumon is different from passive learning programs. Instead of taking notes, memorizing facts, and being fed information from teachers or a tutor, your child actively develops critical, self-learning skills. Kumon has several locations in the Nashville area.

Sylvan Learning Center

Sylvan tutors use a personal approach and interactive technology to help kids learn math, reading, writing and more—turning B's into A's and frustration into confidence!

Several locations are available throughout the Nashville area for your convenience.

Adventure Science Center

Adventure Science Center offers a variety of clubs, camps, and school programs for all age groups.

There are several fun ways to encourage an interest in science with other events such as Family Science Labs, Sudekum Planetarium shows, Youth CR3W, and TWISTER (Tennessee Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, & Research) among several others.

Global Education Center

Using the arts as a pathway to understanding the various cultural, ethnic and religious groups in the community, the Global Education Center presents ongoing classes, workshops, lecture-demonstrations and performances to promote cross-cultural understanding and respect.

Nashville Zoo

Since kids love animals, the Zoo is a natural fit for fun educational programs.

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere offers school services, scout and other group programs, public youth programs, camps, and other outreach activities. Programs are offered for toddlers as young as 18 months, to serious photography classes for teens aged 15 and up.

Engineering for Kids

Engineering for Kids puts the excitement in S.T.E.M. education by offering hands-on-learning for children ages 4 to 14 through fun activities such as designing and constructing rockets, hot air balloons, and roller coasters to LEGO® Robotics and video game designing.

After-school classes are offered at several schools.

Homework Hotline

Homework Hotline gives free tutoring by phone to Tennessee students and their parents. Bilingual assistance is available in Spanish, Arabic, Kurdish, Somali, and Swahili. Call 615-298-6636, Mon-Thu, 4pm-8pm.

Certified teachers can help students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Homework Hotline has reading specialists, math through calculus, science up to AP Physics and much more.

Ready for Spanish

If your child is ready to learn a second language, Ready For Spanish is the program of choice. After school programs are offered for ages 3-12, as well as Spanish Together (for kids aged 0-3), as well as group tutoring sessions for middle and high school students.
