My four year old watched it last year...well, we started to watch it but he didn't like it. It's a good movie but it for sure could be scary. We might try it again this year.

my son watched it when he was 3 with his cousins and he loved it! i guess it all depends on the child, and their level of maturity, my son got that it was a little scary, but he really enjoyed the story, as matter of fact, he watches it all the time.

My daughter loves this movie; she also started watching it when she was three. Hot-Hot-Hot Chocolate...always gets her going.

I just watched it the other day with my friend and her 5 year old little sister... she was fine with it. I agree that it really depends on the kid :)

We don't watch a lot of TV or Movies, but this Polar Express is a family favorite. I do agree the train ride is scary. My kids enjoyed it at 5 and 6 years. I would recommend watching it first. Have a tissue handy, it is a good one for adults too. You can always save it for next year, better safe than sorry.

I saw it with one or so of the grandkids when it first came out and I didn't like it one bit!
